WORK-IN-PROGRESS HOME IS
WHERE THE
ART IS

It takes a long time for my paintings to evolve.  They start off looking pretty blaaah, but after I sketch my subject onto the canvas, block in the shapes, struggle to mix "just the right colours", fiddle with the background - over and over again - get the darks darker ... get the lights lighter ... things start to take shape.  This doesn't happen in a day ... or a week ... or a month ... sometimes it seems to take forever - but it's worth the effort!  Click below to select a painting - you'll get to see some of the steps I take - from start to finish.
